Marina Mello is a Brazilian harpist based in Zurich. After years of studying classical and contemporary music between Brazil and Switzerland, she has developed a unique and expressive style, exploring the harp’s infinite possibilities. Her artistic journey is centered on researching new sound textures, flowing from bittersweet whale chants to destructive, unsettling noise provocations and melodic moments.
Marina Mello pushes the musical boundaries of the harp by focusing on non-traditional playing techniques—using extended techniques, preparation with objects, and effects on pedal, lever, and electric harps. She believes that, as a harpist, many stereotypes and expectations can and should be disrupted.
At the moment, she is preparing her debut solo album, which will be released by Buh Records, a label based in Lima.

Alpha Maid's musical output lies somewhere between avant-garde and pop. Over the course of EP releases 'Spy' (2019) 'CHUCKLE' (2021), as well as a self-released joint EP with Mica Levi called 'spresso' (2023) – (now the name of their power trio band with drummer Zach Toppin), Alpha Maid has developed an aesthetic that draws from grunged-out guitar, lo-fi glitch, noise audio sample electronics and potent yet controlled vocal hooks, that deliver incisive observations of human behaviour and society, in the process becoming a key figure within London’s subterranean music community.
The artist will work at Gessnerallee for two weeks to explore the sound, visual and narrative world of new unreleased compositions. To conclude the residency, Alpha Maid invites the audience to a concert at Nordflügel, where she will be joined on stage by Sebastien Forrester a
nd Oli Haylett, to trailer themes from Alpha Maids forthcoming full length release.

VÍZ is the experimental solo project of Hungarian Transylvanian multidisciplinary artist Réka Csiszér. It delves into themes of fragmented identity through processed acoustic liminal sounds, analog synthesis, Székely folklore, horror, diaristic arias, and noise. Her upcoming album Danse des Larmes, set for release on March 28th via the Athens-based label Heat Crimes, follows her acclaimed debut Veils, a bold seven-part audiovisual body horror soundtrack that spiralled out from her long-held passion and work in the field of in theater, cinema and opera. Those elements are still present on Danse des Larmes, but by examining her past, Csiszér is able to reach into the future, amalgamating gothic horror and speculative science-fiction. VÍZ’s live act has been described as eerie and captivating—oscillating between avant-garde sci-fi opera and haunting incantations; creating hypnotic sound constructions that dissolve in catharsis.
